Winter tyres — what the law requires
From 1 December to 1 March winter tyres are mandatory on designated road sections (mountain passes) — on every wheel, with the snowflake marking, at least 3 mm tread (4 mm on buses), at most 10 years old. Breaking the rule: a 100 ₾ fine and 5 points.
